|Recommended: YesI Enjoy Mostly Everything About Living In Oakridge, But Like Every Good Place To Live, There Are A Few Setbacks. — If you're looking for a great place to meet new friends, be close to campus and all the activities USU has to offer, and an overall great environment to live as a college student, then I would definitely recommend Oakridge. The pool volleyball courts during the warms months are great additions to the complex. The internet has been known to be faulty, but this semester it has been running fantastic Most of the employees are really kind and helpful, and they'll always let you back into your room if you get locked out.
Some drawbacks to Oakridge include, a new TV provider, roku that is confusing difficult to use and makes the screen of the TV smaller. The air heating is extremely loud. Buying Selling a contract, or switching rooms is hassle, and the way Oakridge handles the situations really make it seem like they'll do anything to snag a few more hundred bucks from already poor college students. Just make sure this is where you really want to live, and you know who you want to live with. Parking is terrible in the winter just be ready...
Despite some frustrating drawbacks, I've really enjoyed my time at Oakridge.
|Recommended: YesDecent — Overall good price for what you are getting. Nice place, good laundry facility. Thin walls though. Staff isn't very nice.
|Recommended: YesGreat Place To Live — This is a great place to live, close enough to campus with the bus right out in front. It's a very social place so if you want to be social its the perfect place for you. I could hear my neighbors who were quite loud and the people at the pool area, but for the most part it was a peaceful, quiet place. The internet hasn't been too good and kicks me off all the time, but I feel like you would find that anywhere with lots of apartments. Overall it's a great place to live with great staff members.
|Recommended: YesAverage — It's pretty average.
|Recommended: YesOkay, At Best. — There are three things I found frustrating living here. First, and most obvious, the wifi. The internet at its best moments were spotty. It regularly slows down considerably and regularly crashes out of nowhere and takes a while to restart. Second, was parking. I work until midnight on many nights, and parking was difficult to find. Most of the time I had decent parking because of my location, I just parked on the opposite side of the clubhouse, but it was still difficult. During the winter, it was hell on earth. There were nights where there would be 5 or 6 cars circling the lot with nowhere to go. I had to park on a massive mound of snow in a parking spot on many occasions because there was absolutely nowhere to go. Third, was the staff's inability to help me with problems. I am not sure whether it is their fault or not, but I went to the clubhouse seeking assistance probably 5 times over the year and I don't know if I ever got a beneficial answer. Most of the time the answer was, there's nothing we can do , or they'd redirect me to someone else which rarely heeded results either . My answer below is a yes, but I would be sure to mention these issues and it would be more of a maybe.
|Recommended: NoPotential But Don't Care About Issues That Residents Care About. — It's nice but it has problems.
|Recommended: YesGreat Place To Live — Oakridge is great because it is just far enough away from campus that you can be removed when you want to, while close enough that you can take the campus shuttle to class or walk to the football games. It's not perfect, but it is a good value for what you get. I like that the wifi, laundry, utilities, etc. are included in the price. I think people also underestimate the convenience of having a full gas station within walking distance. I've gotten close with my roommates, and plan on living in the same room next year.
|Recommended: NoPoor Quality, Overpriced Little Room For Improvement — I don't love the layout of the apartments, they are too small for the price we pay. The management is helpful but there is no way around the rules which makes it difficult for change, or improvement. The biggest thing I would request is an opportunity to sell your contract back to oakridge so nobody is paying rent when they don't even live in the valley. I know it's a great way for you guys to make money by having all of your rooms occupied and paid for, but it's a nuisance for the resident.
|Recommended: YesGood And Very Convenient — I enjoyed living at Oakridge and plan on doing so next fall. There was a problem with the wifi and overall internet speed at the beginning of Fall semester, but they recently made some changes to their provider and I haven't had any problems since. Parking can be a hassle at times, ESPECIALLY in the winter, but my apartment was also in an awkward spot with no real close parking. Overall, I enjoyed the experience and plan on living here again.
|Recommended: YesGood — I like it.
|Recommended: YesLove It — It's a great place to live and meet new people.
|Recommended: YesIt Is Well Constructed. — It's a fun place to be.
|Recommended: YesA Great Place For College Studnets — It is a wonderful place, close to the campus, transportation bus is right there. I just wish that snow was handled better.
